What I did in Malaysia !!

This was my first ever foreign trip and you can imagine the excitement in my heart and my mind .

My tickets were booked a month before my travel date and I was all set to start packing and leave . Well , I couldn't wait for the date to come closer . I took the Air Asia ( The Cattle Class ) , since that was the only reasonable one among all, so I cant complain .

I finished my work on Friday i.e. 14th of August and left for the airport . Cleared my Security check and Immigration . Right when you come out , they have the duty free store lit up like a jewellery store . Hahahaha !! Of course I went in to check , the only thing I didn't like about the duty free store was it was valued in Dollars , otherwise I was mesmerized by the perfumes , alcohol and the chocolates . I am a perfume freak and I cry when it gets over ! Bought some chocolates for my dearest friend in Malaysia and a book called "The Manifesto of Change by APJ Abdul Kalam " . The book not only helped me pass my time but the book is just so interesting that you don't feel like stopping . It was about time to board ! I boarded and slept like a baby and only woke up when we landed .

Reached Malaysia .

Day 1 :

I was amazed at the Kuala Lumpur Airport . Super huge area with four floors of entertainment , shopping and food . It was a super gigantic Mall . I got excited seeing Johnny Rockers and Burger King and went in to hog on their delicious burgers. 

Took a shuttle to KL Sentral from the airport since I was going to stay with my friend who stays close to KL Sentral . The bus ticket costed me around 11 MYR . The scenic beauty around on our way to KL Sentral is very serene . So much of greenery around which is peaceful to eyes . After 45 mins exact , the bus reached the destination .

I had to wait at the bus station for my friend to come receive me for 10 mins . The weather was not what I expected . It was hot and coming from Bangalore I felt more hot since Bangalore city always has cool weather .

Malaysia is on the equator so that is why the weather is always hot the entire year . They don't have winters , at-least not like how we have in India.

I spotted my friend and went running to her , hugged her super tight since we were meeting after 2 years . Her residence was close by but we took the mono rail and walked down to her place . I must say Kuala Lumpur is well connected with its mono rails and rapid KL .

Went home , freshened up and had breakfast . We sat for a while before we hit the road . I could see the famous TV Tower and The Twin Tower from her residence . Later post breakfast we left for The Petronas Tower in KLCC . The infrastructure is a magnificent do . Hats off to the architect ! We couldn't go on the top since it was too expensive for foreign nationals so instead we went to the aquarium in Suria KLCC. It was just amazing .

Ofcourse we shopped !! We went to this brand called Unicolo in the mall where I bought Tshirts for my friends and family . We had lunch at this wonderful gourmet place beside the mall.

Later in the evening went to Bukit Bintang for a nice Saturday Evening . Said to be the most happening place. I love observing people and it was a wonderful experience there . We got a seat in this pub called Sutra . The band played amazing songs like "Another brick in the wall " , "Sweet Home Alabama" etc.

Day 2 : 

I was tired due to the journey , so got up a bit late . Post breakfast in the afternoon we left for other places to see . After a while we went to a street side shop where they sell amazing stuff and surprise you .

 It was extremely hot and we couldn't walk much . We saw Battu caves , The Pedronas House , Putrajaya and The Cyberjaya . There were so many luxury cars around me which was fascinating . It's also a pleasure to know about new customs and religions of different countries .

 We went to Sephora and Bath and Body Works to go crazy . I was in love with Bath and Body works . I wish this brand comes to India soon . Later I had to go to my Dad's friend's place for dinner . Came back to the residence and sat beside the pool with a glass of Jack Daniels . A peaceful feeling :) We sat and spoke for long hours since we were meeting after ages . There was so many things to talk about and realize how things have changed so quickly .

We had left for Langkawi in the afternoon by road , but had to unfortunately return back due to the heavy rains . Sadly it didn't happen.

Day 3 : 

I had to pack my luggage since I had to leave for India in the night . We got dressed and went to KLCC to relax for a while and ate lunch . Meanwhile a very sweet thing happened . There was this deaf and dumb guy who was begging on the road for money . A small kid . I took out some Ringgit and gave it to him . Then out of gratitude  , that adorable kid gifted me a key chain . It was a super adorable gesture . 

After some wonderful memories captured in my head , it was time for me to board the aero bus and leave for the airport . Reached the airport in an hour . Went to Johnny Rockers to hog on more food lol and left for boarding.

Well , that"s how I spent my wonderful weekend with my dear friend Richa !! 

Friendship Day Tag !!

There is something about childhood friends that you just cant replace . In this case I am super lucky !!

I share my beautiful house with my beautiful childhood best friends . I must say , there are no friends like someone who has known you since you were five year old .

We know each other in and out . Totally !! Without saying a word we understand what the other person wants .

Staying in Bangalore together is a totally different experience.

Though we celebrate friendship's day everyday , we decided on The Friendship's Day we all would go out to party at Big Brewsky in Sarjapur . Before that we went to shop for each other at this tiny quirky place in Indiranagar called Levitate . Its a part of a restaurant call 100 feet Indiranagar .This place sells bohemian clothes , silver accessories , quirky bags and ayurvedic products . We got our selves some anklet , earring and rings .

Leviate

Big Brewsky is a very pretty place . It has a pool full of fishes and floor cushions where usually couples sit and laze around . Bangalore has a very cool weather and it becomes very pretty to sit on a terrace top or in an open space unlike other cities . This place is super huge , and come what may even on Monday this place is full.

That Sunday My Three Trishul , My Brother and our very famous Mumbaikar friend went out to wine and dine .

The music was good , we got our own corner with dim lightings . Ate a lot from French fries to Chilli Beef ! I must tell you we all love food like no other person . Good place is equal to good food for us ;) We had fancy cocktails like Nuclear Reactor and The Invisible Love .

We laughed and spoke from North to South ! It was a fun evening !

What's in My Bag ?

So , here is the most awaited blog ! The topic that every girl loves to search on Youtube or rather Google for blogs . Might sound creepy but I love to see what people carry in their bags ! Don't ask why ?

I got this smart black satchel bag from Bombay Street Market . Surprisingly it does look pricey but it isn't !! I am sure people from Bombay wouldn't be surprised  ;) I guess it was the Bandra Shopping Area from where I had bought this for 700 Rs. after rigorous bargaining . Two places in my country where i would love to shop and eat , um actually three : Bombay , Delhi & Goa . Just love !! 

The Clutter

These are all the things that you would find in my bag everyday . From Wallet to Eno Bulbuley ;) Hahah . I might rarely use it but still I believe in "Precaution is better than Cure " . Lets head to what  we can spot in my bag !!

Clutter In My Bag

What's in my Bag :

1. Wallet - Without which surviving is impossible when you are independent in a city like Bangalore. My Wallet is from a store called Levitate in Bangalore . They sell adorable quirky stuff and other silver accessories .

2. IPAD Mini - I carry my Ipad mini everywhere I go . Not only is it useful for work but whenever I get bored I either watch series or play games in my Ipad . When I don't have meetings lined up , I go to a coffee shop and play games ;)

3. My Kit - I don't usually apply make up in general so wouldn't call my kit The Make-up Kit like people usually do . This Kit has all the emergency products needed when required . Sudden plan with friends or super bad temperature might be the reasons I would want to use my kit for . I got my pouch from Fab Bag . Basically Fab Bag is an e-commerce website where you need to subscribe for this bag either monthly or yearly . The Fab Bag is sent to you on that basis with new skin care , make up etc samples .

4. One Plus Charger & Power Bank - No smart phone works without a double charge these days !!

5. Protein Bars , Mints or Tic Tacs - While you are working , its impossible to eat when you are actually hungry ! So to kill my hungry I eat protein bars or tic tacs till I hit a place to hog on !!

6. Miscellaneous - I carry my lip gloss or colour bust with always since I  meet my clients on regular basis and need to look fresh and bright ! My bag also has a small mirror which i bought from forever 21 ;) . I am a forever 21 fan ! Well who isn't ?! Comb , Tissues ( Wet & Dry ) and Hand Sanitizer is a must and you would find that in any bag I carry come what may !

7. Perfume - Who in the world wouldn't want to smell good !? I hate bad odour , its a turn off for me ;) I always carry a sample size perfume in my bag ! The one that you see in the picture is from marks and Spencer caller Per Una ! They have a good collection of travel edition perfumes which I love and so does zara . 

8. Sunglasses - I have a fetish for sunglasses of any kind  . My almirah consists of weird coloured eye frames , quirky shades from Goa and normal sunglasses . I always carry two pair of sunglasses in my bag and use it depending on my mood ;) In my bag I have my Aldo Shades and Forever 21 Shades. The Sunglasses Cover is from Zara .

The Fab Bag Kit

My Kit consists of tooth brush , face wash and moisturisers more like an emergency kit. I keep travelling without prior notice and a surprise night out can happen any day ! I love the design of the pouch . Looks tiny but can accommodate a lot of things inside.

  

My Chashmas ;)

These are two of my beautiful sunglasses ! The cream one is from Aldo and the black winged one is from Forever21 . I carry both of them to work :) My personal favourite is the black one as of now .

The Drive

 Sometimes , after all the polluted traffic and monotonous routine all you want is PEACE !

There is a saying - "Take a Quite Walk with The Mother Nature , it will Nurture your Mind , Body and Soul "

There is so much of greenery around you in those tiny villages , close by to the city or town you live in that could bring in peace so easily . We reached Mysore in 3 Hours . Had our breakfasts and left for the drive towards Mysore . All we wanted to do was to go to good places to eat . Haven't seen Mysore much but have heard a lot about that place .

Mysore is a Royal City which we could feel the moment we entered the city . The city had a lineage of Royal Houses which was used as a guest house later on . All the pretty , big bungalows just like in movies beautifies the city .

So we left !

We had our lunch a lovely resort in Mysore called as Windflower Resorts . The place looks very expensive but was pretty reasonable for the serene layout .

After we finished out lunch we went towards Bangalore back again through The Rajiv Gandhi Reserve Forest . The beautiful notes of the birds , the insects feels like a music composition naturally . While we crossed we saw few deer , a wild bison with its calf and then the magic notes appear ! We heard the animal's signal for a tiger close by . Its just amazing how these beautiful creatures interact together in this jungle .

There are people who reside inside the forest , aware and alert of their surroundings . We always feel that grass is always greener on the other side but according to me in think its a totally different experience living with the animal kingdom .

We crossed the National Forest Reserve and entered Tamil Nadu border from where we would catch the Bangalore Highway and reach our respective locations .

Meanwhile , after every two hours we stopped at Cafe Coffe Day for refreshment . Some how , these CCD's on the highways are a bliss for people who drive a lot on highways and want to take rest for a while . I wish Bangalore has a lot of places to eat after 12am .

Once we reached Bangalore back we were in our space sleeping away to glory.

A Beautiful Rainy Monday

Just like any other Monday ! All of us woke up irritated to the new day after a peaceful weekend .

Secretly wished i could  bunk work . 

The clouds were gloomy and the sky was dark . A lazy Monday it was . A day when I would love to relax at home on my chair and eat hot pakodas with the green chutney . But unfortunately it was Monday .

Got all set to leave on my activa to my work place . Meanwhile at the signal , the expression of my co-travellers were worth it . Most of the working people either sleepy or irritated . Kids crying in the school bus or rather sitting silently . Somehow I wish Monday was more interesting to deal with.

Worked a bit ;) which was ignited by my office tea . 

It rained heavily without a break unlike the usual Bangalore rains. Me sitting inside the office and looking through the clear window screen , wishing I was at home . My room mates were cribbing in the whatsapp group about boring the beautiful weather turned out to be .

I came back home after lunch and relaxed at home alone . Had to eat something for the day and decided to order typical Bengali combo " luchi and aloo dum " from Gopal Bhar in Koramangala . Placed the order and eagerly waited for the delivery boy from swiggy to come . 

Cleaned my wardrobe after i finished my mini lunch . Regarding my wardrobe lol ! Too many clothes to fit into my small wardrobe, so in between i have to sort them out to know what new clothes I have which I haven't even touched for ages.

It was already 6pm and time for the cook and my room mates to come home from their dreaded Monday office . The weather was very good to have food made by cook ( would explain about the cook someday )  so we decided to cancel our cook and order something delicious from outside and feel good .

Then after little bit of chit chatting , we all went back to sleep for a new day to come .
